had my MSATs (multiple station assessment tests) yesterday. i think they went ok. no major blunders. my simulated stations were...
- history taking: patient complaining of chest pain
- clinical physical exam: patient with distended abdomen
- ethics/communication station: obtaining consent from a patient scheduled in for surgery
- clinical reasoning station: patient complaining of shortness of breath on exertion, examinations & investigations pointing towards some sort of anemia/hematological origin
- ALS/CPR station: demonstrating my CPR skills, as well as my ability to use a defib, use drugs (adrenalin, atropine, amiodarone), etc...
now i've just got these two big written ones on tuesday and wednesday. wish me luck!
