during my clinical coaching session today, we were running to catch an elevator and our coach stopped the closing doors by putting her hand in between them. that prompted this mini conversation inside the elevator:
coach: have you heard the one about the surgeon trying to catch the elevator?
us: no.
coach: so a surgeon is running to catch the elevator and the elevator doors start closing. so he sticks his head in between the doors.
us: why?
coach: cause he needs to protect his hands.
:D
i don't think there were any surgeons in the elevator.

reminds me about an episode of "New Heart" (Korea's version of Grey's Anatomy). The guy caught the elevator with his hand, and his surgeon supervisor told him to catch it with his leg. You should watch this series, I'll lend you the DVD's when you're back in Toronto.
