where am i going with this and the title of this post?
well, the movie was $5.70. student fare is FIVE dollars and SEVENTY cents.
you don't believe me do you? i knew you wouldn't so here's proof.
ah... it's good to be a student.
on the other hand...
started my house hunting today. didn't go quite as well as i had hoped.
the two places that i looked at were - although cheaper than my current place - nowhere near as good as my current place. they were both further away. instead of the 7 minute walk it takes me now, it'd probably take closer to 15 or 20. the first place was a dump. there's really no other way to put it. 5 guys living in the house. kitchen was a mess, there were probably a dozen grocery carts in the garage and don't even get me started on the washroom.
the second place was small without much natural sunlight. and the first question i was greeted with when i knocked on the door was "where are you from?" WTF?!?!
i gotta make a few more calls tonight and hopefully check out a few more places tomorrow. i definitely don't think i'm being too picky. but perhaps my expectations are a tad high. it's true. you get what you pay for.
arg... it's sucks being a student.
